the devils skull lies screaming
out on my porch
i met him in memphis
we didn't stay in touch
i lost my heart
to the other side
i sold out for wisdom
and a young mans pride
i sat there drinking
an the beast needed a shave
i wasn't even thinking
as i spat on the devils grave
in tears he cried out
for the love of my soul
i sold out Beelzebub
for a pot of gold
he stood there screaming
asking me why
i turned my back on hell on earth
and never said goodbye
i broke the devils heart
when i turned him down
i broke evils spirit
as i turned with the frown
i met the devil at the cross roads
and i tore him apart
he knelt down begging
for me to give up my heart
the beast he had seven heads
all in need of a shave
the devil packed his suitcase
and headed for the grave
i met the devil in memphis
and i kicked his ass goodbye
his demons they did beg me
and asked me why
i sold out satan
and shot him in the back
i took him to his maker
and let out the attack
i met the devil
or should i say he met me
if he had let me alone
i would have let him be
i killed the devil
and i took his crown
i will finish what he started
i won't let him down
peace on earth is nothing
i haven't lost my touch
the devils skull is left screaming
out on my front porch
